Halloween Costume Party 2011
I know it took place after October 31st, but we all had a great time at the Halloween costume party. Here are some pictures from the event:
Our YouTube Channel is set up
We have created a Cypress Senior Center YouTube channel in order to present videos on our website and on YouTube proper. It has begun with three videos from the center:
2 Videos of News12 Brooklyn segments — The Wii Bowling Tournament in June - and Stepp Stewart’s visit to top off our dance/exercise program with Emblem Health.
The third Video is a clip of a Zumba session that inagurated that program.
You can Visit our channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/CypressSrCntr?ob=video-mustangbase#p/a.
The short film “Noches de Amor - La Detective” produced here at the center is also available to view from the channel, as well as the page on our site, and Jurican Production’s YouTube channel.
We plan to continue uploading new videos, so check back to see if any new videos are available, I will also post here when new videos are uploaded to YouTube. We hope you are as excited as we are about being able to share video from the center with the world.

Dancin’ Wit Stepp
On June 7th, Emblem Health and Health Corps brought some of the Students of Franklin K. Lane H.S. and the star of the day, Stepp Stewart to the center for the culmination of a four month program of dancing for fitness.
Stepp’s dance/exercise presentation was wildly entertaining and everyone enjoyed the event, even the onlooking audience. The students closed the event by making everyone delicious and healthy smoothies.
The event was covered by News 12 Brooklyn.

Two Museum Trips
Art Instructor, Larry Walczak, took a group of our members on two museum trips.
On Friday, June 3rd the trip was to The Brooklyn Museum which included a box lunch and guided tour of the museum.
On Monday the 6th the trip was to the Rubin Museum of Himilayan Art in Manhattan.
It is reported that a wonderful time was had by all.
Thanks Larry!
